Class 4’s recent visit to Escot’s Saxon Village.
On behalf of the children, staff and governors I’d like to welcome you to Beer CofE Primary School. The school is a member of The Ark Federation and works in partnership with All Saints CE Primary School. Our Federation is also part of St Christopher’s Multi Academy Trust. We believe in collaboration and teamwork to ensure the highest aspirations and the very best outcomes for all children in the trust.
I am very proud to be the Executive Head of two welcoming and caring village primary schools. We pride ourselves on nurturing all of our pupils through our school Christian values: courage, trust, thankfulness, truthfulness, humility and friendship. These values underpin all that we do, ensuring high quality relationships and positive attitudes to learning.
The life skill of team work is embedded in everything that happens. The future of the school is shaped by children, parents, Governors and the wider community. We hold an open door policy which allows everybody to contribute; we believe in working in partnership with you to ensure the best for all our children.
Our staff are creative, enthusiastic and committed to ensuring an engaging, lively and challenging curriculum for all, regardless of backgrounds or barriers to learning. Our aim is that every child fulfils their potential, academically and personally and becomes a caring, thoughtful, confident and happy individual as we strive to prepare children for the years ahead.
This website provides a snapshot of what we do – enjoy exploring! Please contact us if you want to find out more. The whole school community looks forward to welcoming you and our dedicated staff will help to facilitate a smooth transition into the everyday life of the school. Rebecca Porter, Executive Headteacher.
Beer CofE Primary School is a Church of England Primary School situated on the East Devon coast.
The school is situated in an idyllic location at the top of Mare Lane as it overlooks the village and sea from its position on high ground. It was built in 1978 and has grown from 3 classes to 4 classes with approximately 125 children on roll. Puffins Pre-School is also situated on the same site as the school.
The school aims to create a happy and caring Christian atmosphere where those who attend feel secure and confident.
We have close links with other schools in East Devon and Exeter. Many of our pupils move onto Axe Valley Community College or Woodroffe although we also have pupils that move onto Sidmouth Community College and Colyton Grammar School.
