During the summer term, Rosie and Emma from Double Elephant Print Workshop ran creative workshops with writer and poet Sarah Acton outdoors at the school.
Working with KS2 (classes 3 and 4), they used creative writing and printmaking to explore the theme of nature connections. The children made sound maps, designed their own creatures of nature and wrote nature poems.
Along with five other East Devon schools, the pupils can now see the results of these workshops in the form of playful fold-out maps. The maps combine artwork from all the workshops with over 300 children and celebrate ways of connecting with our East Devon landscape.
